Molly, the hurricane survivor

Molly was abandoned by her owners when they had to flea their property to escape hurricane Katrina. They weren’t able to bring her to safety.
Molly survived the hurricane and ended up being saved and brought to an animal shelter, where she was attacked by a pit bull that tore her leg off. She recovered, was given a prosthetic leg and returned to health. She now visits people in need of hope.

We’d love for this to be some kind of story about a horse saving a dog from drowning, but this horse’s name is Brenda., and she likes to swim. She likes it so much she sometimes let’s dogs join for the ride.

Rosie & Bingo – Lifelong friends

Rosie (a cow) and Bingo (a horse) spent a lifetime together in an American farm. They were the only two on the farm that had spent their entire lives their, and when Bingo passed away from a digestive illness, Rosie lost her energy and enthusiasm for life. Eventually, she passed away 9 years later too.

Frank’s Final Goodbye

Frank Keat, who spent 65 years training horses, had one request when he was on his death bed from a terminal cancer. That request was to see his favourite horse, Early Morn, one more time.
Too ill to visit the barns, the horse was brought to him, and the two shared a silent good-bye.

Finishing on happy note, this is Summer the therapy mini-horse. She visits children with learning disabilities. Her gentle disposition and kind nature make her perfect for loving kids who have otherwise found it difficult to interact with other children.
